I hate that they cut this
#this is why she doesn’t like magic #she may have been jealous when she was younger #but we never knew her when she was older and accepted her sister as a witch #she saw the bad in magic whereas everyone else only saw the good #she probably thought if she could keep harry from magic she wouldn’t have to remember losing her sister every time she saw him #she was also bullied by snape using magic when she was younger #it probably killed her to find out snape was one of the people behind her sisters death when lily trusted him so much
So they edited this out? Argh. Yeah, we actually don’t know Petunia. Even in the books, she was never that mean to Harry. Remember when she was the only person at home who was as scared as Harry was that night he told them Voldemort’s back?

Street Lit
Putting a message on a wall can be a much more effective way to reach the masses than expecting them to go find a book and learn it themselves. Some men just want to watch the world learn, regardless of medium. This collection of street arts details some memorable lines from famous books, hit the pictures to see which author and title, if you didnt already recognize them immediately.

i miss tumblr. i miss the drama. i miss relating to every post i see. i miss the smart stuff.
okay, so i’m being melodramatic here. it’s just that these past few days, i don’t really know what’s happening with me. i feel like a robot, working on routine mode. everything is just the same. i wake up to do something i have already done the day before. i walk around thinking the day may be a little different but in the end, it’s not.
maybe i’m just tired. maybe i just need a break. i’m really confused.
yes, this is about work. mostly. because it’s also about my life in general. and it’s just sad that i’m starting to not like my life right now. i mean, i love the people i am with. but sometimes—and i really feel guilty about this—i just feel like they’re not enough anymore.
maybe i’m really just tired.
or maybe i just want to quit and run away. like i’ve always dreamed of. like i’ve always wanted. like i’ve always been scared to.
i just want life to be different.
British-Nigerian sketch artist Kevin Okafor photographs each step of his drawings, you get a glimpse at his technique, and it is impressive how he uses charcoal for the hair—he smudges it, and then with a pen eraser thinly threads and creates highlights. He also uses other materials such as Faber-Castell graphite and black colored pencils

THE JK ROWLING PROJECT #827309020 BY JOROWLING.NET
So I’m meeting Jo again on the 8th March and I thought it’d be nice to do yet another fan project for all of those that didn’t get to take part last time. However, due to super loads of uni work it’ll be an online thing rather than giving Jo something physical. So what is this magical project exactly?
This project is something I’ve decided to name ‘tributes to Jo’ which will in effect be open to submissions from today till the very end of JoRowling.net. It is going to be a place where you can share your stories about how much Jo means to how, how she has helped you etc with fellow fans and with Jo herself. You can send in poetry, fanart, fanvids and even pictures of you dressed up as your favourite fictional characters. You name it, you can probably send it unless it’s something like dragon dung then probs not. It’s also an opportunity to help promote and donate to Jo’s charity, Lumos, which aims to put an end to the systematic institutionalisation of children within the next 20 years. It’s a project for those days when Jo may have a spare bit of time from writing and just wants something a little heart warming. Let Jo know how much she has inspired you. We want to hear your story. Let it be told. Send in as many submissions as you want. We’ll publish them all.
